Tune-Up Service

Great sales and service. Have revamped two razors. Absolutely perfect job. Almost hate to use them because they look perfect. Rockwell razor purchase was shipped quickly, and the razor is smooth as they come.

Razor Emporium did a fantastic job on my razor turning the dull machine finish into a beautiful bead blasted/Satin finish.

I sent in a 1959 Fatboy that needed mechanical adjustment, then upgraded to a complete renewal service, as the plating was in bad shape. I received the razor in excellent condition, both mechanical and aesthetic, and am quite happy with the service. I will use the razor with pride.

Came back looking amazing and working like a champ. Good for another 70 years!

Purchased two ball end replacement handles. One in gold and the other in nickel. The machining, the fit, and the finish was excellent on both. Sent my wife's grandfather's razor, in pretty crusty shape, for a tune-up so that we could display it in a shadow box. Excellent job; looks like it did when it was purchased so many years ago. Highly recommend this service.

I had forgotten to review the Regent set with original leather case i purchased in February 2025 so here it is. The set was not cleaned and not replated. It also came with the leather case in very good condition. I th ought the price was fair and the shipping to be very fast. I am very happy to have it in my collection!

How very excited I was to receive this bottom dial! I was all original, no cleaning or replating. Just left in the condition as found. which was perfectly acceptable to me. It functioned and shaved very well. My razor stable is filling up thanks to Razor Emporium! I like the quality of the razors they sell and in my estimation the prices have been always fair. In April I sent in a New Long Comb for cleaning and replating. Once again it need serious cleaning and wasn't sure that Matt and his crew could restore it. They assessed it when it was received and assured me it would restore nicely. They were true to their word as it was totally transformed. Just catching up on my reviews. I also purchased a super speed prospector in the final days of 2024. It caught my eye when I was looking at the current inventory. When I receive it I thought it looked even better in my hands. No flaws, very well cleaned up and again buttery smooth operation. The workmanship as before was flawless.

In February I purchased a military Bulldog set. It was only cleaned and not replated. It was in such remarkable condition I had to ask once again if had ever bed replated and I was assured it was not. As was pointed out it did have two extremely minor flaws which did escaped my inspection. I would miss them again today upon another inspection. The price was fair and the information on the minor flaws greatly appreciated. Great customer service.

End of last year I sent in a toggle for tune up and replating. The tune up turned out to be remarkable! I never dreamed the razor would have been able to work better than when originally purchased! Buttery smooth. I also had it gold plated again which of course was like adding a cherry on top! Fantastic workmanship all around. Fast turnaround time and great communications through out the entire process. More work coming their way.

My razor had some age and wasn't performing, so I sent it to Razor Emporium for a tune up. It was returned looking great and working like new.

Razor Emporium knows what they are doing. They’ve put in the time to truly perfect the re-plating and fit/finish adjustments on these vintage razors. I found this razor in an abused state and you can’t even tell now. Plating is better than the factory original and the TTO mechanism is smooth as butter. If you find a decent razor looking ugly, I would highly recommend this service. Worth every damn penny. I’ll be back with more razors soon.

I sent in my grandfathers, then fathers , 1964 Gillette slim adjustable for the tune up service, and the razor came back like new! They polished, inspected, cleaned , and assured all the adjustability was working in correct order , and it gives me much satisfaction to now use a razor that my grandfather once used. Highly recommend the service to anyone who is in the same position, or buys an old razor at auction/flea market etc. I’m glad this service is offered, and I’d surely use it again!

Tune up was great, blade gap is even. Smooth shaving now.

Had my 58D Fagboy tuned up. Had bent blade guard and really bad gap. Came back perfectly straight and even. Shaves great. My only gripe is they painted the Red indicator Black for some reason. I wasn't about to send it back for that so I painted it over myself.

Fantastic value for a high polish on a matte stainless finish. My razor came out looking spectacular.

Razor Emporium did a fantastic job revamping a 1956 (B1) Red Tip and a tune up on a 1958 Super Speed TV Special (D3). Both razors look and function as good or better than new. Communication and service was top notch. Highly recommend.
