Jeremiah Taylor first founded Taylor of Old Bond Street on September the 1st, 1854 during the reign of Queen Victoria. Jeremiah opened his salon in London's fashionable Bond Street and gained a reputation in British Society for his botanical extracts. The Taylor tradition continued through the next generation with Sidney who opened our now famous flagship store in Jermyn Street, London.

Exceptional after shave!

The aftershave is definitely on the high-end spectrum, similar to Caste Forbes balm, yet tops it. Yes, it is oily-which is exceptional and provides amazing moisture for your skin. I would not put it into neither aftershave splash nor balm category. It is sort of a hybrid between splash, balm and cologne...Amazing. Scent is like more renounced and fragrant gunpowder spice from the holy black.

Exactly as advertised— heavy tobacco scent. The fact that it is non-alcoholic means it is not as astringent as alcohol based products. However it also means it is somewhat oily when first applied. While expensive, I like the spray aspect of the bottle. This allows me to be more precise when applying the product and I think I use less product than with bottles that simple dump out onto your hand to apply. All in all a good alternative and I will rotate with other products.
