Rex Supply Co. | Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades

I have tried many blades and have found two brands that I buy. I got some of these with a Rex razor that I purchased and I love them. I have tried them in my other razors and they are great. I have ordered more.

I just started using a DE razor about 13 months ago and bought a sampler pack of 60+ blades. These came out on top for me. Not so sharp that on false move produces blood and not so non- aggressive that it feels like dragging a butter knife across your face.
I feel comfortable using a blade for two shaves and one of those is a head shave as well.

I have tried numerous DE razor blades from Razor Emporium. I would consider the majority of the blades I tried being very good. However, the Rex Supply Platinum razor blades FAR exceed the other razor blades for smoothness and sharpness. I first tried these razor blades with the Cella original red shaving soap. I have never had a shave that good!! My next razor blade purchase will be the 100 count. I can't wait to try these blades when I purchase the Rex Supply Co. Envoy razor.

I watched the video on the Razor Emporium YouTube channel that reviewed the blades, and in the review, they mentioned that the blades didn't have glue in the wrapper. I bought a 100-pack and was surprised by the glue that holds the blades in the wrapper. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. I've used the blades for over a year now, and I'm very satisfied. I have noticed that the blades can struggle with longer hair, but if you shave regularly or do 2 passes, it's no problem. Compared to the Feather and RK blades I've used, I prefer this one as the Feathers are too aggressive for me, and these are more consistently sharp than the RKs.

I am really enjoying these blades. I find them to be among my sharpest blades but also one of the smoothest. A bit on the pricey side but a very good blade.

As with all Rex products, they never disappoint. I found these blades to be very efficient and comfortable. So far, I have gotten a perfectly smooth shave every time I’ve used them. Thank you, Matt for all your hard work.

I have tried some of the most aggressive blades out there and I have found my match!
These blades are incredibly smooth and don’t leave my face feeling like it is on fire. The alum block comes out on all blades, but there are times when I feel I don’t need it after a fresh one of these blades.

These are the sharpest, and yet smoothest blades I have ever tried. I have been wet shaving about 10 years now, and these are the absolute best!!!!!!!!

These blades have become my new favorites. They are sharp and still provide a very smooth and comfortable shave.

They aren't cheap but anything worth having usually isn't. As an ex salesman the motto is the quality will remain with you but the price paid will be long forgotten.

Packaging is very nice and I like the absense of glue on the wrappers. The blades do their job, but I have a very think beard and they did not cut as clean as I would have liked on the first shave. The blade holds up well and did not diminish in sharpness after 2 shaves.

I tried these with my Konsul adjustable and did not like them. They are sharp but I felt a little irritation and tugs.

Really good blade. They aren't exactly Feathers but more like Accuforge or Personna Comfort Coats. Like the double wrapping. These don't have glue on them. They easily make it to 5 days. Probably get more shaves out of them but I personally don't use any blade after 5 days. Even on the 5th day they had no issues. I like them.

I've been using Rex blades since their launch last autumn, and they've rapidly found their way into my Top 3, alongside Perma-Sharp and Feather. Very sharp, very smooth, and consistently good even across multiple shaves. They need one shave to bed in, but from shave two up to shave 5 or 6, your have a very smooth, comfortable experience, and they work well with all my razors. I will say though, that when I've used a Rex blade with my Ambassador or Sentry, I've enjoyed some truly outstanding shaves.

Paired with an adjustable Gillette FatBoy Razor, and 2024 Home for the Holidays shave soap. The Rex Platinum blade gave a smooth one pass shave and a wonderful gingerbread fragrance. Both appealing to myself and my wife. I did not go passed the third positing and quickly went back to the second positing for my thickness of beard. Most of my shave was on the first position and still offered me a smooth, comfortable shave.

Outstanding razor blades, will order again.

These are great blades, but they are extremely and unforgiving. Folks with sensitive watch out. I usually start with 5-6 on my Konsul, not with these blades- had to go down to 2-3 after few nicks. You really cannot be distracted with these, if you go 5-6 on your ambassador / konsul- you will get straight razor vibes 100%. They are sharper than the feather ones. Too aggressive and sharp for my taste, but they are definitely high quality blades.

These blades are exceptional. Paired it with a Fatip OC, just fantastic. Buttery smooth!

So a few brands of blades I have tried feel scratchy to me for the first two shaves. These blades however feel great right out of the paper. They feel smooth and yet very sharp. I've gotten several shaves from one blade. And I like the fact the blade doesn't have glue on it. Feels kinda like a persona blade. I'll buy these again

I took a chance and ordered 50 blades on my first order. I'm glad I did! The Rex blades are super sharp and smooth.

Just received a tuck of these blades to try out. Showered, lathered up with an Ariana and Evans soap and loaded the Rockwell 6c. I chose the 6c because out of the razors I own, it's pretty much my "desert island" razor. Always a good shave. My go to blades are Feather, Perma-Sharp and Accuforge. These blades are easily the most comfortable and efficient blades I've ever used. Worked two passes with the 5 plate and had a problem finding anything else to cut when I went in with the 3 plate for a third buffing pass. By far the smoothest result I've ever gotten, with zero nicks, weepers, or even irritation on my most sensitive areas. Great blades!

Tried out a Couple of 5 packers and like how it gave me a great shave. So, I went ahead and purchased the !00 for a years worth of shave. if you're sitting on the fence about these get a single 5 pack with your regular blade order and just give them a try. Who knows you might just like'm

1st shave with a '67 SS black handle, 2nd with '64 Slim Adj, 3rd shave, same blade with the new Sentry. Amazingly sharp. The Permasharp & Nacet have been my best blades to this point, but the REX is the new pinnacle of Sharp & Smooth !! Shouldnt have expected anything else from Mr. Matt !

These blades are sharp and smooth; they are one of my new favorite blades! They are top quality. Thank you Rex! I will be ordering more.

I've tried 30 different blades, and The Rex is #3 out of those blades that I would use on the regular. The other two are Feather and Erbe. I'd put the Rex right in the middle between those two blades. Great quality from blade to blade, and they work great in my Leaf Twig. Will definitely purchase more in the future.

These blades are "the one" for me in my Rex Konsul. They're sharp and smooth, delivering consistently great shaves with hardly ever a weeper.

As if the above wasn't great enough, they're also quite durable, with each one lasting weeks and enough shaves that I lose count.

I ordered the 100 pack 3.5 months ago, and it was love at first shave. I've been trying to use up some of the other blades in my collection during that time, but I keep longing for these, and when I plop one back in it's just as great as I remembered. After these 3.5 months I'm still only on blade #3, so it's going to be a long time before I've used them all.
