1988 is Great

This shaving soap delivers in every way. First, one can never go wrong with a tallow-based shaving soap. It whipped up a smooth lather and resulted in a great shave. Next, the scent is not overpowering, and it perfectly captures the essence of this awesome decade! The purple color is a nice touch as well. After my first shave with 1988, I found myself channeling Michael Knight, a Def Leppard concert, and a 35th Anniversary Corvette! The 1988 aftershave splash is a must for a perfect finish!

Amazing, Fantastic Shave Soap!

Simply WOW! I've had this tub for a while but never got around to trying it. I decided to fix that last week and was blown away! I was so impressed, I've used it every day since! The base is well-cushioned. slick and protective. The soap explodes into a rich, thick lather. And the aroma! I'm not sure what the 80's smelled like, but this soap smells damn good! It's soothing, yet kind of invigorating. I LIKE IT! Great job, Matt and your Team. This is a definite winner, blows "boutique" soaps costing twice as much right out of my shave den. Well done.

I've only tried two so far this 1988 and the 1966. I love the scent of the 1988 and it seems to agree with my skin better than the 1966 but both build an excellent lather and I'm a noobie at this!

Excellent addition to the 19... line

A very nice, floral and cologne scent that wafts back to the decade that gave us Top Gun, Miami Vice, and Yuppies. As ever with Rex soaps, the performance is outrageously good, making this fantastic value.

top notch performing soap

another great set from the razor emporium team! the soap base is very underrated in my opinion and is some of the best stuff on the market. very easy to lather and provides wonderful protection and slickness. my only slight gripe is that it's not very strongly scented, which is a shame cus it's really pleasant. other than that it's awesome

Taking Me Back!

Wow! The fragrance of this soap instantly transports me to the good ol' days. I remember being in middle school when these delightful scents first hit the market. It's a nostalgic experience that I can't resist!

Sadly, this one went right in the garbage for me. I think the batch was defective. Unlike the 1955 and 1966 that I own, this was drippy and did not smell very good.
