Razor Emporium | Shaving Brush with Acrylic Handle

Very pleased with the feel of the brush - seems solid overall, tightly knit bristles, well-made acrylic handle.

I want to start by saying that I like Razor Emporium as a store and will continue to buy blades and stuff through them. This review is only a reflection on this specific brush.

It sheds, and sheds badly. I have purchased two, separated by over a year, so I do not think this is a single batch that was bad. I ordered the second one because I thought maybe the water I used was too hot; seems that was not the issue.

The brush leaves so much hair in my soap and on my face that I cannot avoid picking out tens of hairs off my face every time I use it. It seems to be getting worse with time.
I recommend looking for a more expensive brush from a name brand that will hopefully not have this issue.

I know razor emporium sells other brushes from name brand manufacturers, so you could still buy it through them.

Brush felt good enough, but 3 months in and I’m picking 10+ hairs out of my razor every time I shave. Just ordered a different one.

Not favorable, I've had 2 of these brushes and they shed more than a dog. Seems to get worse with time. I think maybe the ones I got were from a bad batch of knots.

The brush itself look goods, and it provides a good lather for a shave.

This is my first and only badger brush I have. After shopping around I pulled the trigger on this one because of the good quality and price and so glad I did. This is now my favorite brush. Love it so much more than any of my synthetic brushes. Can Highly recommend!

i got the amber handle and i love it. i first started wet shaving with a fine synthetic brush and wanted to try an actual badger brush, so i was excited to see RE sold such a great looking, affordable brush for me to start with. i’ll probably use it forever

So about 2 months ago I received my first RE badger brush and used it for about a month and it lost so many hairs, like way more than normal. So I got in touch with RE customer service and told them about it and DJ was able to get back with me very quickly and without question sent me another brush free of charge. I do believe this was a one off thing because the second brush doesn’t shed other than a few hairs for breaking it. Great product and even better customer service!

I own both the synthetic and the badger and both are amazing and the handles fit perfectly in your hand.

I like the feel and the weight of the badger brush but unfortunately, everytime I use it, more and more sheddings from the brush wind up in my shaving bowl, my face, and the sink.

Excellent brush for the price.

I purchased the green one, which looks nice. Performance is not the greatest. The bristles have no backbone so you won't get a scrub out of it. Lathering is about average or a little lower (it does the job); it just takes longer to lather the soap. However, once you build a lather, the application is relatively straightforward--it flops on easily.

I dare to say this is a good budget beginner's brush.

I bought it a few months ago. Extremely flimsy, doesn't do the right job to create foam, doesn't lift the beard, and looses wires all the time. This review is for you guys to pay attention and solve the issues, because in my opinion, you have a beautiful web service, and great products

This is my 3rd brush but I must say this brush is a 100% improvement from previous brushes. Lathers well and covers the face complete and effortlessly. Helps making the shave a more enjoyable experience.

I purchased the amber colored brush earlier, but always wondered if I got the more expensive green handled badger brush if it would be better. I want to share that the brush is very nice, soft, and lathers very well. It is very soft on my face, and simple to clean. It holds a lot of lather, and maintains the heat a little better than the amber brush, but both are very good.

Nice brush. I’m a small guy so this feels pretty bulky to me, but that’s not anything against the brush itself. Some hairs have fallen out already breaking it in over the first several shaves, but I guess that’s to be expected? Overall pretty satisfied with it!

This is my first ever brush so don't have any comparisons but it seems to doing the job very well and I have to say I like it a lot. If I was to try a badger bristle I wouldn't hesitate to by the rex brush

Works very nicely to build lather for a luxurious shave. My older brushes were of the shorter variety, so this longer handle took a bit getting used to, but I am very happy to have made the purchase.

No hairs lost I can find, works great ..a big thanks to that little badger that gave up his hair!

Decent brush for the price.

Brush has good heft and the handle curves really fit the hand well. Hairs are generous and an optimum length to retain excellent stiffness when applying cream to the face.

I have been using a cheap van Der hagan boar brush from their premium wet shaving kit. After abut a year and a half it began to fall apart. I got my new brush a few days ago, and I love it. The bristles are soft yet firm. I may be the only one who appreciates that animal smell. I take it as proof of authenticity.

Switched from a synthetic brush to this and my first thought was why did I ever buy synthetic to begin with. The difference in quality is so drastic. The amber colored handle is also a nice touch. I'm hoping to be able to use this brush for many years to come.

All of the brushes I have used were used boar brushes. This brush took up water very well and applied a wonderful lather many times over. Very impressed and satisfied with the quality!

Amazing lather for a fraction of the price

I just wanted to say that I love Razor Emporium products. This unfortunately was a dud for me. I have had this badger brush for a little while, I loved the feel of it. It fit well in my hand. It lathered my soaps well. My one huge complaint was the constant shedding. This brush shed several hairs at every use. No e of my other brushes shed as much as this one. So all else being equal I have to say it's the rush and not me. Finally, I pulled so many loose hairs from the brush, there was a badger in my sink. I had to throw the brush away. Just my experience.

My first brush of any kind. Having no idea what to expect I was very pleased at how soft and comfortable it felt. Coupled with my Prorasso Sandalwood soap, it elevated my experience in a way that was unexpected. Now I realize that I will need a travel brush because I now actively dislike using shaving cream and speading it with my fingers. Thanks to you I will be buying the Holy Black True Black Synthetic brush especially as it comes with a travel tube!
