Proraso Barber Razor "Shavette". This is a professional throwaway razor. Proraso has added yet another great product to its ever growing family of men’s grooming products. The blade is made from stainless steel and is fitted into an elegant walnut wooden handle that has been engraved with the brand’s name.

The razor is easy to open, comfortable and allows the user to be able to slide in ANY HALF standard double edge razor quickly and safely. This is as close to a traditional razor you will get. Made by master barbers it will give you a close, pleasurable shave.

Proraso Shavette

Beautiful shaving and looking shavette! Upon receipt the blade swung loosely in the scales. I believe they are actually shipped this way though. A YouTuber received one he purchased the same way. The wonderful thing is that it utilizes two brass screws which can be gently tightened to provide tension eliminating this. For my intial use I loaded a snapped Kai blade. The shavette went through my weeks worth of growth like a hot knife through butter and was easy to use with no nicks, cuts or weepers. The Walnut scales are gorgeous and really popped when I wiped the shavette down with Ballistol after use. I'm not a fan of lightweight shavettes, but to my delight, this one performed exceptionally making me very pleased that I decided to purchase it.

Worthy of a place in your shave den!

Proraso holds a wonderful place in the world of close shaves. Starting out is easier on a straight razor if you can manage the sharpening, or on a Feather or Focus R28 RBSR Replaceable Blade Straight Razor. These two Shavette types minimize nicks from the blade edges. This Proraso RBSR is an especially good general version. It is nice to shave with equipment Proraso has anchored. It is worth having some experience prior to rolling with this type with the clip hood because you must manage the unguarded toe and head of each blade by your method.
