I am a first-time user of a "pre-shave" product; I thought I would try one to see if it made a difference. I like the Proraso brand and price point, so I tried this one. I have been using this cream for two weeks and noticed a difference in my outcomes. Using a dime-sized amount, I can cover my entire beard; the product is very slick and smells like the other Proraso Red products. It has helped my less expensive shaving soaps be more effective; however, I have not noticed much difference when using my favorite shave soap (TOBS), which is very slick and high quality already. I will continue to use this pre-shave when using my lower-grade soaps and will likely purchase it again when it is gone, which will take many months. I recommend this product.

Amazing Smell, Works Great

I got this product to help with razor bumps on the rougher parts of my beard and it works great! The smell is also a plus - intoxicating without being overwhelming.

Proraso Pre/Post Cream | Red

This stuff is awesome! I am relatively new to wet shaving with a straight razor. Using this pre/post for the first time, I did a 3-pass shave with no nicks or razor burn. I also love the sandalwood scent. This will now be part of my normal straight razor shaving routine.

Awesome Product

Have never used a pre/post cream before. I'm quite impressed. As a pre shave cream, I experienced no razor drag and pretty much no nicks. As a post shave cream, it gave my face a softer, smoother, feel.

Better than the Green

I enjoyed using the green Proraso pre-shave soap and was a bit skeptical about the red. It smelled sweeter which didn't thrill me because I liked the classic aroma of the green. However, that skepticism was misplaced. During its application, the aroma is not unpleasant and in fact just the opposite. It is smoother and provides more protection during the actual shave. Once shaved, the aroma leaves so one can complete the shave without any mixture of aromas. It is better in every way compared to the green and will be using it forward exclusively.
