I received your new King R shaving soap expecting it to be like most of the artisan soaps that I purchased over the years, rating somewhere between 3 and 4; acceptable but not exceptional. I anticipated King R would be good but didn't realize it would be that good! I would rate it as a solid 5+, actually a gold standard. There are very few shaving soaps that I have used over the last 60 years of wet shaving I could put in that category. The fragrance and performance are outstanding. It would be a travesty if this soap was not a permanent offering.

I’m new to wet shaving and I decided to grab as many sample soaps I could get my hands on so that I can gravitate toward scents that I like. In addition to the 20+ samples I took a gamble on two 4oz soaps (a Sandalwood because it is one of the most popular scents in soaps; and the King R. Emporium because it had 30+ reviews which were almost all 5 stars and each one echoed that this scent /soap is amazing).
I too will be another 5 star review which will echo how amazing this soap and scent is. I continue to come back to this soap time and time again. The scent lingers all day and keeps me in a positive mood. My wife and kids all love this scent and it is by far the soap I have bragged about and shown off to my friends.
I truly hope that they keep this scent around.

As most wet shavers, I've accumulated many different soaps from various vendors over the years. Doing my best to narrow down to my favorites, it left me with only 3 mainstays. King R. Emporium is one of those soaps. One of my favorite scents, I always make sure I have the soap, aftershave, and star jelly on hand at all times. The story is what got me to buy the first tub, the results/scent is what got me to stay with it. I love this stuff! I would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Outstanding scent, quintessential old school barbershop that covers every base plus proven PAA performance. You can't go wrong. I truly hope this stays as part of Razor Emporium's line and doesn't get discontinued because I will keep buying it.

Lathers easily, creates a smooth shave, and has a very nice fresh scent. My favorite.

Nice easy lather. Makes my skin feel good. The scent is good but could be described as light. I wish the scent was stronger. It seems to disappear after shaving.

This scent profile just really shouldn’t work. At all. But it’s genius. It’s sooooo good. Shave is effortless and fun. Scent is unique and ..,, well…kind of of perfect. The shave is wonderful. The aftershave is just the perfect blend of scent, sting and performance. Truly outstanding.

The CK-6 formula soaps are incredible; they produce huge quantities of rich, slick lather in just a few seconds. It's a very thirsty soap, so it takes quite a bit of water to keep it hydrated through the shave, but who cares? It's truly wonderful stuff.

The jury is still out for me on the scent. I know the object was reproducing a vintage Gillette scent, but to my olfactory system it seems like just a fresh soapy smell. It's certainly pleasant, but perhaps not quite what I expected.

Ok, I know it's not labeled as a barber shop but it's what it reminds me of and it is absolutely amazing!

First, received 4 days after ordering. Thx for the prompt shipping. Wonderful performance from lathering to complete shave. Very nice light scent. Doesn't conflict with my favorite cologne. Definitely my new favorite soap. Will order again.

The CK-6 Formula is wonderful and it is certainly an improvement over the original base (which wasn't all that bad).

The scent is a little sweeter than the original scent and is every bit as fantastic. This is about the only scent my wife and I both agree on!

I recommend getting the pair - the soap and aftershave/cologne.

I've tried a lot of soaps and creams but this is by far the best. I use a Thater silver badger brush for reference. I've tried eShave, Simpsons, Castle Forbes, HIM from Fair Hope, and Proraso. This surpasses them all for me.
