New Gillette WWI "Khaki" Travel Case Replica w/ Mirror

Perfectly suited to keep my razor secure. Nice touch with the blades and mirror. I have a replica Gillette ball end handle matched to a newer KC Gillette head ( a great improvement to the stock handle). I previously used a leather head cover but it tended to fall off in my coop kit. This case is a great solution. Snaps securely and appears quite rugged.

Loved the case, no stretchy rubber bands to hold the razor, the included mirror is great on the go. Truly a must for your DE razor. I am loving it.

Fits the WWI ball end set perfectly! My original case was rotted out and this was a great replacement. Note it will not fit other razors.

It's a cool travel case for an old razor. I really like the quality and color. If I had one improvement, and I know it's retro, but an elastic band for the razors will allow it to be used for other razors.

Had my grandfathers kit from WWII and it was falling apart. This is a faithful copy and am so happy to still use his razor in an authentic case that kept him stubble free in ‘43

I have an original Gillette khaki set; this reproduction is way better and sturdy than the original. It feels great, and it is easy to open, close, and remove your razor, blades, and mirror. I can't wait to travel and take this with me.

I needed another soft case to replace my original WW I case as it really isn't in good shape. At first, it was a little tight and hard to snap on one side. But after leaving it alone for a while to let the fabric stretch a bit, it snaps just fine without any difficulty. Now I need to order another one.

I bought this as a second travel case. My other travel case has an elastic type retainer for the razor head, blade and handle. This one has all canvas . I can fit a tech with a ball-end handle, an Old Type with a ball end handle, and a NEW LC with a ball end handle. No other handle that I own will fit. I cannot use this case for a common bar handle or any of the other handles that I own. Had I known, I never would have purchased this case.

The quality of the case appears good, however with the mirror in the case, there is even less room.

Nice stiff case, Tight loops and snaps. Its fits my Gillette tech's and Old's (Pocket types) The space for the blade bank, fits the 1906-1920's style with snap on lid. See Mr-razor for pics. I don't know if it will fit later, shoebox style. The mirror is nice. I would not want to use such a small one. It does help to support the case. I did buy a second one with the Old style razor. (Not here yet)

I like it but first off I didnt get a mirror! I guess its ok cause it wouldn't have fit well anyways, this is tight fit. Ment for short or compact models.

My 5-star rating is based on what I believe to be the intent of this product; a quality, faithful reproduction of the original WWI "Khaki" travel case, which I think was executed very well.

Having said that, I would love to see Razor Emporium produce a modern-day version that substitutes the cloth retaining loops with elastic material to accommodate a variety of razors and tucks. Another great mod would be to slightly increase the case's overall dimensions to allow for longer & larger-diameter handles.

Nice functional piece of history that you don’t have to feel bad about abusing. A very stylish and convenient way to bring a DE along on the road. Another 100+ year old design that still holds up.

Bought this to complement my Gillette gold tech razor,this case is nice,well made very pleased with it.I would recommend it in fact going to get the WWII kit for my son- in-law for Christmas.When I received the case to my surprise there was a package of Gillette Blue Blades.

Perfect solution for loose razor components in your shave kit. Well made, sturdy, and takes up little space. Nice blast from the past.

Started on a 100+ yr old razor jag a few months ago. Got this to go along with the 1917 Open Comb Ball End OLD . Wilson's comment proving true " I would account for the durable canvas material this is constructed from just needing some flex memory in the beginning." 1 star deduction cause it's a repro....Heh!

The case had a lot of stray threads, is difficult to close with a Gillette old type disassembled razor in it, with a pack of blades. And upon the first time closing and opening it the right hand snap broke. Looks like it was crimped improperly because it broke in two. I'm working on fixing it as it's a Christmas present.

Nicely made kit that comes fully “stashed” with all you’ll need on the go. (I’d say it’s about the size of an eyeglass case). And the Gillette mock ball-end type OC is a fine performer. I have seen some complaints that theirs will not snap completely. I would account for the durable canvas material this is constructed from just needing some flex memory in the beginning. I have an original WWI razor with the actual case that was issued. The case needed to be replaced so when I found this, I was excited. The case is made well Except for a couple of things:
1. It’s made too small. I had a Really Hard time fitting the handle, razor head and extra blades in the case and then trying to close was impossible.
2. The Snaps are too weak. After struggling to get the case closed the snaps just could not hold it shut due to the pressure of the material trying to keep it closed.
If it was made a little bit larger and with better quality snaps this would deserve a “5 star” rating.

The khaki set case with mirror- I wanted something to be able tp protect a full size three piece razor when traveling but also have some built in functionality and this case is it! Fits old style ball end razor handles great- including gillette ball end techs and most made in england techs. It would not fit my canadian fat handle tech military set handle though so make sure of your handle size. The mirror works great and fits nicely. Going to be handing these out at Christmas this year!
