Too many cuts during shave

I love the weight and length of the handle, it feels natural in my hand and delivers a nice shave. It could be a little more aggressive but with the right blade its a winner.

This is an ideal DE razor for beginners. It is mild enough to learn the value of good shaving technique while also aggressive enough (esp with a sharp blade) to cut through thick beards.

My first double edge razor, so I can’t compare it to others, but it is very mild and comfortable. I see why it is recommended so often for new wet shavers.

I have big hands and this still feels great and balanced. I am able to maneuver it comfortably.

I've never used a DE razor before and curiosity eventually got the best of me. After watching numerous shaving videos and reviews, I settled on the Merkur 34C. The price was good and it came highly recommended as an entry level razor. Having used Bic Single Blade disposables for most my life, the transition was rather easy. I guess it is considered a "mild" razor. So far, after multiple shaves, I haven't carved myself up once and have never had as close a shave.

This was The pick for my first DE razor and has proved to be my favorite go to ever since . Perfect weight and balance , shorter handle . Provides a very comfortable and close shave with zero irritation . Honestly I picked it from a line up just because it looked and felt good on my hand . I took to it naturally from the first shave and still love it today . Outstanding comfortable shave , excellent fit , finish and build quality . Can't go wrong with this one .

This is an item that you can hold and feel what exactly what it is that you paid for... Excellent quality. Nice and heavy, great chrome plating, and a good fit and finish. You get what you pay for!

I say Freshmen because, as we all grow into new modes of learning, that is the title given. I'm a Freshmen shaver in the safety razor game and this was the model that all research areas pointed to.

The Merkur 34C is the standard barer for the Double-Edge Safety Razor. It has brand recognition, solid design, and a history that supports its own value. It is weighted well and provides a good experience, minus the blade that comes with it, which was of medium quality.

This is the brand to start with and they last damn near a lifetime, or so I'm told. The big discovery is figuring out which razor you need and are comfortable with.

Razor is solid, but not too heavy. It performs as expected and is easy to clean. Quality of metal and plating is excellent.

I have multiple superspeed and a couple other variety razors. The 34c is my go to razor whenever I try a new blade or know I need a good shave without issues. Very smooth shave no natter what blade I use, some better than others but no bad shaves. Love this razor.

I decided to try the DE blade shaving. I first bought the "as seen on TV" razor. It was ok, figured I'm new at this. One week later I bought this Merkur 34c. Best shave I've had, right out if the box! This may be the last razor I ever buy...not. I'm hooked now! Very easy to use, nice clean shave with one pass and could have stopped there and been satisfied with the results. A second pass for cleanup was all that was needed. I definitely recommend this razor and am already looking for other razors to add to my now growing collection (bought 4 razors at the antique shop for cheap). I have tried a couple of them but always go back to the 34C. I look forward to shaving!
