Sharp is an understatement

I received these as they were included with a razor I had purchased while in Japan, I had read the reviews about how these were on par with the sharpness of Feathers, which was not unwarranted advice. I find them extremely sharp, but a bit thinner than the Feathers, I only use them twice before tossing them, and when I have several days growth to remove with a Rockwell 6S or T2 and I'm looking forward to utilizing them in an Ambassador.

Kai DE blades are quite sharp and give a decent shave. The only weak point is it seems to take about 2 shaves per edge before it smoothes out to a pleasant feel. My razor only uses one edge so it is easier to keep track of that count per edge. I wanted to try these out of curiosity and find that there are others that I prefer over these. Your results can vary since every face, beard and blade holder will add variables.

Kai Blades sharp and smooth

Very good blade, not as sharp as the Feather blades, but very accurate and smooth. If you don't need the sharpest blades that's a good choice. For me I've tried several blades. It's the same category like Perma Sharp or Treet Carbon but not hat level like Feather's first shave.

KAI the Feather Killer

To me, these blades are like a like a Feather blade on the second shave. They are sharp and smooth.

Not sure how many shaves can be had from them since I'm a one and done sort of shaver.

These blades are definitely worth a try if you're looking for a blade that is sharp and smooth.

Razors

I hate them!!! Felt dull and pull whiskers bad. Irritation around my neck…

Harsh, uncomfortable, not for me.

I have tried these blades in 3 different razors now, and I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. I would call the shave very harsh, or rough. I used 3 of the 5 blades, and it was very uncomfortable every time I used them. Not for me.

Kai DE blade

I ordered a sample pack, which included the Kai blade. Very close shave, and I can get three great shaves per blade.

My GO TO Blades

I absolutely Love these blades! They are just the right combination of sharpness, and longevity. I used to use the Merkur blades almost exclusively but these quickly became my favourite. Be careful if you have a sensitive face though. These are Seriously Sharp!!!

the best blades I ever tried!

Very good blades! I perfectly agree with Shaving 101 review: if you don't have a really hard beard, kai blades are better than Feather (and better of all other blades I ever tried, too).

Nice but not for me.

I would say others comments about this being more comfortable/smoother than a Feather might be correct. Although I got a really nice shave with the Kai DE blades, I don't believe it will replace my Personna Med Prep blades.

The one thing I really like about theses blades as I do with my Med Preps, is that they do not use any glue/wax on the paper. Now my question is, if Personna and Kai can wrap the blades without wax, why can't the rest of them do it.

Would I buy this blade again, yes I would. I would probably rate this blade #3 right behind my Med Preps and the Polsilver Platinum.

Very sharp blade

The only comparison I have is Wilkinson Sword, which I have been using for the past year. I've had Some good shaves, but often they feel rough, and often leave me with terrible irritation either side of my neck. Of course this may have been down to my preparation and technique.

The Kai's are different. It's a more pleasant shave, the blades are super sharp, and I approached my first shave with nervous excitement. Time will tell, I don't think they will be five star, but they are very good.

I'll use them often, but I think I'll still search for the five star shaving razor blade.
