Not as thick of ceramic as my Van Der Hagen shave mug which I dropped from 4ft onto tile after I slipped and the mug survived without a crack or nick, but shave mugs don't get dropped often. Tip: for loading a shave soap puck, add sticks of hot glue to the bottom and microwave until the glue is melted about an inch or two from the bottom of the mug. When the shave soap puck wears, we now won't have to struggle to build a lather in the confines of the neck of the mug.

This is a very nice shaving mug! Easy to hold and the raised indentions inside the of the mug helps to make a quick and easy lather! Beautiful black finish! A little bigger than I thought it would be but, I much prefer this! It's a great addition and a pleasure to use!

With respects to the Porcelain shaving mug it impressed me beyond my expectation. This shaving mug is a high performer with shaving creams or soaps, my initials test was with L'OCCITAN Cade soap which I have had some problems getting it just right for shaving in other mugs. On the first try with this new mugs it built up a large rich silky smooth lather quickly with my silver tip badger brush.

The size of this shaving mug is perfect and well conceived in construction whereas at the bottom of it there are grooves to help build up the lather.

If you are a wet shaver I highly recommend that you try this one you will not be disappointed.

The size, shape, and weight of this bowl is perfect. The handle makes for an easy mixing experience and the ridges on the bottom of the inside help you lather up your favorite cream. Great product!
