Gillette Slim Adjustable TTO Adjustable DE Razor | Made to Order

I bought a factory nickel finished Gillette Slim. I received it and was thrilled with how well it was finished and its performance. I liked it so well I went onto ebay and bought a 1963 Gillette Slim and sent it in to Razor emporium to be done in Prospector series. They will receive it Monday the 23rd from the post office. I can’t wait.

I had been looking for an Aristocrat to add to my collection and could not find a suitable one. So, I did a Made To Order for a Slim Adjustable and preferred the date code range when Aristocrats were made. REX nailed it. It is a beautiful example and gives a great shave. This was my third or fourth revamp from REX and the quality is outstanding. I was sold once I watched Matt's video on their plating process. It is unbeatable in my opinion. Already looking for my next one.

I was really excited while waiting for the Slim to arrive, and it was such a joy to finally receive it.
Although using a double edge razor is a bit tricky at first, it’s also incredibly satisfying.
Shaving with this has turned from a daily chore into something I actually look forward to.

After waiting for two months, the razor finally came. The rhodium plated is shining as it should. However, the processing time is much longer than 2-3 weeks, as it says on the website. They also forgot to ship my Gem blades. The money refund was quick.

Razor Emporium did an incredible job on this classic razor. It looks brand new and works great! This is rapidly becoming my favorite razor. I have one of these for over 30 years. It finally stopped working well. It was a trusted tool for my grooming needs . The razor has to be made older than 30 ,since I am 56 years old . Hard to find an affordable new adjustable safety razor now a days . I would love to get another one here

Looks fantastic, easy to use, easy to clean, settings adjustment is wonderfully tactile, a great shave experience, and you can’t beat the look of Rhodium. Love that I can load in a Feather blade and not over do it on the sensitive parts of my face. Fantastic investment.

I am highly pleased with my revamped Gillette Slim Adjustable from Razor Emporium. I have purchased vintage Gillette safety on Ebay, but nothing beats the quality function, fit, and finish Razor Emporium offers. I'm glad that there is a company out there making sure these great safety razors can be returned to their like new state and last future generations.

I’ve had mine for about 4 years now and I wouldn’t use anything else. Good shave and easy cleaning. No residual like the multiblade razors that causes my skin to break out.

This is a first quality rejuvenation, the razor is better than new and gives a fantastic shave

I ordered a 1963 Slim Adjustable with the Factory Nickel finish. On opening it, I first thought they had accidentally sent me a polished Rhodium razor, the finish was so good. I was going to write that the razor looked like new, but in fact it is impeccable and there's no way it was this good when it first came from the factory.

I was expecting a slightly better shave than my old Merkur 34c, but the Slim Adjustable is so much better that I'm now wondering if there was actually something wrong with my old razor.

This was by far my best purchase of the year. Many thanks to Matt and his team for such a great job.

This was a made to order product and I had the Gold premium plating added. It is beautiful, but there is a blemish by the date. So pronounced that I’m surprised that quality did not catch it. A slight rubbing and it could have been a 4 star. Why not give 5 star you say? Since this is a made to order, Rex should own their work and put it in some kind of Rex box similar to the Konsul box. Own it Matt. Your name goes out with your work. This is just my opinion.

The revamp works beautifully. Razor is like brand new from like when it would be used after buying from a store. Razor Emporium does a fantastic job with vintage Gillette razors. Very impressed!

Many years ago I purchased vintage Gillette razors from the bay/boards and was not thrilled with the shaves I got from them. I have recently decided to give them another chance, and opted for Razor Emporium, as I don’t think there’s anyone more reliable and knowledgeable in the vintage Gillette razor business.

First I bought a replated Fat Handle Tech and immediately fell in love with it. How could I have missed it for so long? Perfect size, weight, angle, and shave.

Following this positive experience, I decided to indulge myself and made to order a Slim and a Fatboy, both in nickel.

In parallel, I also purchased the same razors from a shaving forum in good but user condition, because I wanted to understand the differences (if any) and value from RE’s service. Here’s my conclusion:
- Made to order: everything is perfect in my Slim. The looks, fit and finish, the even blade gaps, the quarter turn, the straight bar, the doors mechanism. It’s really impressive and I’m sure it looks better than new. Wow, it shines! The shaves it provide are sublime and just feels awesome to own a brand new 1966 razor. Only slightly minus is that the adjustment dial and the quarter turn are a bit stiff initially, but they break in with a couple of uses. I attribute this to the high level of fit and finish done by Matt’s team here
- user grade Slim: it cleaned up very nicely with a few soaks and scrubbing and buffing with polishing compound, and it shaves well, but it doesn’t look and feel the same. Granted, I paid $35 for it. I’ve been lucky with the blade gaps, they are even and look correct. Some razors from the bay come with uneven or wrong blade gaps and are usable only in the highest settings

Overall, I’m very pleased with my M2E purchase and experience. It’s not cheap, but the quality is there and I’ve paid more for lesser modern razors. I love my new (literally) Gillette Slim from Razor Emporium.

I ordered my Made To Order in Rhodium finish. In a word, WOW!!! I have other Gillette vintage razors that I use regularly but this one is a work of art. It is a pleasure just to hold it admire the beautiful finish. Beyond the aesthetics, the razor functions flawlessly and and provides a very smooth and clean shave paired with a quality blade. Not much more can be said about this beautiful razor that hasn't already been said. Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys using vintage razors. Thanks Matt and Team...a job very well done.

IMHO, the best Gillette made and now made better by Razor Emporium. This is solid brass plated with a ton of gleaming nickel. I use it mild on 1, 2 or 3.

Added this to my arsenal as I wanted to go old school. Absolutely love it. Feels and looks fantastic

Excellent workmanship. Feels almost new.

Only issue was package was left in front and could have been stolen. Signature on delivery is better option for expensive items

Received my H3 1962 Rhodium Plated Slim Adjustable today, it is better than new, looks gorgeous with the rhodium plating. Functions perfectly, all in all great work at RE it is flawless.
