Gillette Slim Adjustable Double Edge Safety Razor | Prospector Edition

My Gillette Slim Prospector revamp is incredible. The craftmanship and attention to detail during the reconstruction is exceptional. It’s almost too beautiful to use, but I’m looking forward to the first shave. The Razor Emporium staff was friendly and efficient throughout, I cannot say enough good things about Matt and his staff, it is a well-run company—highly recommended!

A beautiful job of refinishing and refurbishing a vintage razor. They did so well that the adjustability on this razor works much more smoothly than the adjustability on my brand new (and twice as expensive) Rex Konsul. Really like the razor, first rate job.

I got this as a birthday gift and it was my first foray into a Gillette DE razor. I started shaving with typical Gillette and then eventually went to the Leaf Twig. I wanted something with a bit more adjustability regarding shave aggression levels so I was gifted this. It's hefty and beautiful and the revamping done by Razor Emporium is just -*-chef's kiss-*-. Looking forward to many, many more years of shaving with this stunner. For anyone on the fence about grabbing this, don't be - get it! You won't regret it! Also, don't know if they paired my serial number with my email or something but they match so thanks for that extra touch!

I had a double edge rockwell safety razor for about a year it was pretty unwieldy and a pain to replace the razor. This one eliminates those problems completely and with style. It doesn't hold as much hair as the rockwell and I need to rinse it a bit more but it was extremely smooth and everything worked flawlessly. Very happy with my purchase as I believe I'll never use another razor.

Absolutely stunning razor, visually. I must have four versions of this razor (all sourced from Matt) with one in full gold and the other in rhodium. But this gold rhodium combination just beats them all- no contest! Of course, it’s been throughly revamped and polished so everything works perfectly but really, photos don’t do this razor any justice..!

Stylish, and elegant version of a Gillette Slim, that has performed wonderfully over the last two weeks. Thus far in my experience it seems to work the best on a lower setting with aggressive blades.
