Bought the rhodium plated revamp of a 1920 single-ring Gillette which is now my favorite razor. I own many razors including several expensive models over $200, and this razor is the one I go to the most. It's a beautiful restoration and little piece of history, and I absolutely love it!

Fantastic service and Razor

The single ring shaves efficiently and requires technique, but honestly, it gives me a closer shave than any other razor. I highly recommend this razor and the made-to-order service in general. Is it as good as modern razor? Some yes, some no, but it amazes me that you can get a great shave from the same razor Theodore Roosevelt could have used. If there were not any technological advances in razors in the last century if we had this razor we would be OK. It is light and small, avoid the temptation to add force.
