Gillette Red Tip Super Speed DE Razor | Made to Order

They did a great job of bringing my red tip back to life. I want to love this razor. Yet I don't like it. I find it quit mild even with Feather blades and difficult to maneuver around the mustache area. The head is too thick.

The Red Tip came out great, better than new. Looks and works great. I was kept informed through the process. Good to see these razors restored and given new lives.

I've had new, unused, Gillette Red Flare Tips and my razor came back 'better' than new. I did splurge and had the rhodium plating put on but the finish, the mechanics are as better than as new. True.

Beautifully done! I ordered the razor in rhodium and it arrived in like new condition, operating perfectly. Shaving with it is a dream. I find the razor to be slightly more aggressive than my 1949 Super Speed, which I like. I've wanted a red tip for a long time and I treasure it!

No doubt it lives up to its title Super Speed. I feel lucky to get this while its still available revamped by Razor Emporium. I used Muhle open comb two piece before this razor, and got nicked here and there. However this super speed shaves as close as the Muhle and no nicks. Its a beauty to look at, and reminds me of 1959, when it was manufactured. I highly recommend this red tip if you love shaving, the traditional way, and are a perfectionist when you shave, or are in the military or are a CEO where grooming for men matters. I am sure you will love it. Thanks to Matt that he offers revamping. It looks brand new. Works flawlessly.

The razor looks good and shaves great . The whole process took three months it was hard to be patient to wait that long . I was told it was due to covid and then the weather and the postal service is slow too

I received my Made-to-Order Super Speed yesterday and whilst I haven't tried it out yet I have to say it looks spectacular and operates flawlessly. The workmanship is first class, the new plating is excellent and the colour match of the red tip makes a fantastic finishing touch. So happy with the purchase.

Razor received was beautiful but very stiff and squeaky. TTO operation was not smooth. That being said, I still love the razor.

Received my "made to order" in rhodium. I didn't like the original painted tip because it was chipped. So, I had mine plated in rose gold on the tip and doors. They pay attention to detail on each piece they process. Unlike an assembly line. So their products come out better than new.

When this razor arrived, and i had it holding in my hands , i couldn't believe the workmanship done on it. I saw no imperfections whatsoever, the plating is fantastic , the red tip paint looks durable. The opening mechanism is smooth . This razor is probably better than when it was originally manufactured.

My wife bought me this razor in nickel for Christmas, i had to give it a shot right away, it shaved so smooth i couldn’t even feel it, i questioned whether i actually put a blade in. It’s the closest shave I’ve gotten, so smooth, no bumps or any irritation whatsoever. I absolutely love this razor! I shave Gillette platinum blades. Phoenix shaving soap and aftershave, poraso pre/post green.

Wow! Razoremporium knocked it out of the park! Finish and performance are perfect - just like the day it left the factory in 1955. Even the paint on the red tip was repaired, with an updated durable paint! Just love it. Used the made to order service, so it was no hassle and I knew the finished product would be mint. Communication was excellent through the entire 3 week process, and I received my razor on time as promised. I would recommend Razoremprium to anyone. I was purchase more razors from razor emporium in the future. It saves time over hunting on ebay, and pricing is competitive.

My Red Tip looks just like it did back in '56. I purchased a revamped and replated model with nickle finish. It shaves perfectly, runs smooth, and could easily have come straight out of the box. One caveat - I usually clean my razors by soaking them in alcohol after the shave. I wouldn't recommend this with one of the painted "tip" razors, as it appears that it might have a negative reaction with the paint. The ablation didn't harm the finish on this first time out, but constant contact with something other than soapy water might be a bad idea.
