I love my 60 Fatboy adjustable prospector edition I paired it with the wooden box. It is nice when I want to shave quicker than using my 1800’s Griffin straight razor I bought from razor emporium. Keep up the quality work!

This is my 3rd fatboy but first prospector edition purchased and it is a great looking razor ,recommend it to anyone looking for a awesome and great looking razor to add to your collection.

I brought the Gillette Fatboy Prospector Edition as a present to myself. I was very impressed by the delivery time shipping over to Oxford England.
When I received the Fatboy, I felt like a boy on Christmas Day opening his presents.
Razor Emporium has done a fantastic job of plating the Fatboy, very impressive. Also the adjustments of all the hinge plates etc have made the Fatboy nice and tight, no looseness there.
Shaving has been a lot better now with this Fatboy compared to my old one. Its feels tighter and nicer in the hand with the plating.
If you in the market for a Fatboy this special Edition is a nice example.

As soon as I opened up the package I knew it was worth every penny I spent. I love this razor. I’ve shaved with it everyday since I’ve received it. They did an amazing job. I sometimes shave in the shower when I’m in a hurry. This does it all. Collectable and fully functional. This is for using. Not for exact replication for collecting, but for using everyday because it’s basically brand new. The price and for what you get is superb. Razor Emporium has my business. I’m getting a slim adjustable next.

I wanted to wait a few weeks before leaving a review, I wanted to have solid experience with this razor first.

What can I say…………. Every part of my experience with Razor Emporium was excellent.

I was a bit apprehensive about spending so much money on a razor, especially as I am in the UK and would have to pay international postage, UK VAT, Customs Duty and handling fees. These fees added an additional $84 (£66), taking the total price for me to get this razor to $323 (£254). A lot of money.

My experience with customer service was excellent, with good communication. Ordering was easy and the shipping was fast. The tracking allowed me to track the package all the way, so I knew where it was at all times.

Now the Razor. I had watched the YouTube videos of the Razor Emporium process, so this gave me confidence in the quality of the final product. But, like many things in life, the Razor was far nicer in real life than the photos. The quality of the plating, the smoothness of the mechanism, excellent. So what of the shave? Absolutely amazing. I love the adjustability of the Fatboy, finding the sweet spot depending on how long my growth is and what mood I am in. A smooth as silk shave with my favourite blade, a Feather.

This Fatboy Prospector is a joy to hold in the hand. It is a work of art. It gives a mighty fine shave. So was the price worth it, absolutely. I will treasure this razor forever.

Could Razor Emporium have done anything more, or, better? No, I don’t think so.

This is a beautifully restored vintage. It looks fantastic in my den, and is a pretty decent shaver. The adjustability seems to be a little underclocked, meaning the settings from 9-1 don't seem to change the baseplate much. Which isn't necessarily a flaw, since I don't mind a slightly mild shaver. Otherwise, this is in excellent condition.

Excellent work, made to order, with didn't no, but worth the wait!!! They kept up with contact on every step, again amazing!!

This is a beautiful razor. I get a comfortable shave. The revamp is wonderful. Can’t believe this 1959 razor give me a very nice shave. Thinking of have my Rockwell 6S done in Rhodium. Great job Razor Emporium.

Received the item in good condition. Not as shiney as In the picture. I may just need to get use to it but as of now, itshaves well. I get a closer shave with my Mukur Futur or Parker Variant. I'll just be patient and continue forward. Nice razor
however, I don't think it's worth the money.

I love my Fatboy, I about got the $1.95 nickel finish but I am so so happy with the prospecter edition! 10000000000000/10 recommend the Fatboy

THE RESTORATION IS SUPERB. THE STAMPINGS ARE CLEAR AND PERFECT. THE PLATING IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. RHODIUM AND GOLD, SALUTE!! I CAN SET THE GILLETTE AT 3 AND MY ROCKWELL T-2 AT 3 AND THE SHAVE FROM BOTH FEELS THE SAME; CLOSE AND NO IRRITATION. YOU ARE TO BE COMMENDED FOR SUCH A TRULY REMARKABLE RESTORATION. TO SUM IT UP, I AM VERY PLEASED. CARRY ON, SALUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This a piece of American history and my first DE safety razor. I fell into the rabbit hole of YouTube and found out that the fat boy was one of the best designs of all time, so I figured what better way to start wet shaving than with the best. This thing is so beautiful. If you have never seen rhodium in person before its phenomenal and doesn't stain or tarnish. I was originally about to buy a Henson and I'm glad I changed my mind. I'm military and I have to shave every day. When I tell you this is the closest shave, I have ever had in my life I'm not kidding. Do your research, wet shaving does take a little practice, but the results are well worth it!!

The Rhodium and gold plating make this one of the best looking razors in my collection. Verry Happy I purchased this razor and it has a solid place in my rotation.

Waited a long time for the razor and when it did come in the razor had an uneven blade gap. One side has a smooth shave and the other barely shaves.Customer service told me to send it back in , they didn't even offer to pay shipping. It's been a week since they received, I asked for an update and still haven't heard back. Even an acknowledgement of them receiving it.

The razor is great with nice finish, the only thing, you will have to wait longer to get it.

I am fairly new to the wet shaving world, but I thought I would take the plunge and see if the DE Razor rabbit hole was as deep as the fountain pen rabbit hole I found myself in. I should have paid more attention to the more experienced miners and brought a lamp. There are definitely some shiny things to grab! I have never had a Gillette Fat Boy before, so I have nothing to compare the effects of the Razor Emporiums Revamp Service to the original craft, but I could not have been more pleased with the fit and finish. This is more than a razor, it is simply a future heirloom you get to play with now. It is stunning in its detailing and strikes a fine balance between what was and what could be in design. Great Job and Kudos to Matt and the team at RE.

I purchased a pre-restored Fatboy prospectors edition razor. It came about three weeks after ordering it but I have to tell you this razor probably never looked better coming off the assembly line. It is beautiful, two-tone rhodium, and 24 karat gold. Really nice attention to detail and this would be a beautiful gift for anybody or even a treat for yourself. Again, it looks better than new.
