Got burned on a 'Farguy' razor. My Fatboy (E2) is absolutely perfect. I thought I had a tough beard, but I had to drop down to a '3' and my shave is as good as, if not better than, my other razors. Wish I had bought the Fatboy first instead of trying to save money on the other razor.

Received my 60+ year old Gillette razor as if it rolled off the assembly line last week! Fit and finish was perfect!

The Razor is very well reamped It looks like new. The first shave with a Böker Blade was comfortable and enjoying.

Fatboy Razor looks fantastic in Rhodium finish. No imperfections , smoothened Shiny finish, looks like and works just as new razor .
It's become my favourite razor along with the Rex's.

Mid-century Gillette was the best a man could get and this tops even than with a durable rhodium-replating. The Fat Boy shaves a dream, adjust up where you need a close shave, adjust down for sensitive areas. Great work by Razor Emporium!

Best de safety razor I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned a Jagger and an adjustable Merkur, which are both amazing razors, but this is by far the best. The top that opens with the twist at the bottom of the handle makes it very easy and satisfying to replace blades. This refurbished factory nickel model seems brand new - I can’t tell in the slightest that it was made 60 years ago. The BEST shave I’ve ever had. Worth every penny!

I ordered the Fatboy from Scotland, despite having closer sources because of the influence and passion of Matt’s videos and RE’s company ethos towards products that are priced for a reason.

Received my F4 Fatboy today and was stunned when I saw how new it looked. This razor is 62 years old and it looks as if it was recently made.

I shaved with it straight away and being a head shaver, I started on 1 but dialled up to 5 until I got the closeness and comfort I need. By contrast, my Slim is a 9.

My first impressions were that it’s no surprise that the Fatboy is so revered by the wet shaving community, it’s perfect. The heft, the shave, the build… just total quality.

The razor functions exceptionally well, the only thing I would improve is the dial on mine isn’t quite there compared to my L4 Slim which has a satisfying click through the dial and yes, I have slackened it first ;)

Apart from that, it’s a stunning razor that has already jumped to top spot in my rotation, which includes the Rex Ambassador, Merkur Progress, Rockwell T2 and Henson AL13 Medium.

I just received my MTO model 195. I have not had a chance to shave with it but it really looks extremely close to a new razor. The new planting is near flawless and the mechanicals work smooth and precise. Worth every penny!

Only problem (and the reason for 4 starts) is that in my invoice Razor Emporium wrote the full list price, while I bought the razor on sale, so I had to pay more custom taxes than expected. Nothing to do with the razor, and I hope my local government will use my hard-earned money well, but paying extra taxes does not bring joy to anyone hehe

It looks brand new, shaves perfect, and no currently manufactured razor can compete with this Fatboy by Gillette, its a practical shaving instrument, that no currently manufactured razor can equal or exceed, highly recommended. In father had a Gillete super speed flair, 1963, and loved it, and it was passed on to me after he died. They dont make those high quality shaving razors any more. Thanks to Razor Emporium, we can now get these razors, revamped, and they do a great job. Buy with confidence, you wont be disappointed.

Got my made to order Fatboy and it looks great.
However the broken spring used just jamed up adjuster and its stuck on no 1 . I managed to disassemble and remove old brother spring and it works great. Doesn't lock in place obviously but what r U going to do.
Haven't heard back from an email so it wasn't the experience I was hoping for. Looks great though.

I purchased this to use it. The Fatboy finish is flawless the fit is fantastic and the function is facile This is my new favorite and daily driver. I paid more than the original $1.95 but it is still worth every penny.

The razor is beautiful and functions great but comes with a real hefty price tag. Overall 4/5 just for the price.

The razor looks tremendous. The lower part of a handle you twist to open the barn doors is extremely stiff but it was checked out so I guess that is the way it’s supposed to be. If something breaks oh well you pays your money and you takes your chances.

I many times heard the chatter about the Fatboys. So I just wanted to get one. What a beauty. Bought it directly from Razor Emporium so no worry about it working and looking good. It looks great and I don‘t know if I want to use it or display it.

It took awhile, but I am Downunder. The Fatboy couldn't look better and open & close more precisely. Very happy with the effort and result. Thanks Matt and team.

Razor Emporium does a great job on these made-to-order razors. This is my second restored razor, and the workmanship is superb. I actually had a minor historical inaccuracy on my F-1 razor (incorrect retention plate, could have been on the razor when sourced), but Matt and DJ were great and corrected it faster than expected. I did the rhodium revamp to more closely match the chrome on my shave brush, and it is now my go to razor.

After looking around at 195's of unknown condition I decided to avoid the hassle, take the plunge, and let the team at Razor Emporium do the heavy lifting. I saw a post on IG about a batch of razors they had received and asked if there was an E3 in the batch? They informed me there was and I placed my order immediately. I received it a few weeks after I placed the order and have shaved with it several times since. I have to say I am 100% impressed with how it looks and shaves. I am very happy I let the crew at Razor Emporium take the stress out of finding and revamping the razor I had been looking for to add to my collection. After the service they provided on a previous revamp it made this decision a pice of cake. I now have a Razor Emporium revamped E3 Super Speed Flare Tip and a E3 Super Speed Red Tip being revamped as I write this review. I would not send a razor to get worked on anywhere else.

Auf Razoremporium bin ich durch YouTube aufmerksam geworden. Ich mag Matt's Videos. Ich wollte unbedingt einen Fatboy besitzen, jedoch keinen alten und abgenutzten, sondern einen "wie neu".
Die Bestellung klappte perfekt. Das ganze dauert ein paar Wochen, jedoch habe ich auf Anfragen stets sehr schnell Antworten erhalten.
Auch die Lieferung war nachvollziehbar.
In Deutschland musst ich das Päckchen persönlich beim Zoll abholen. Es waren noch etwa 30€ Einfuhrumsatzsteuer zu entrichten.
Das war mir aber egal.
Der Rasierer war gut verpackt von "DJ". Der Zustand und die Funktion sind neuwertig.
Der Rasierer ist wunderschön. Ein guter Kauf! Ich liebe das Ding!

This is the first razor my mother gave to me as a kid in elementary school and I lost it over the years. I was so happy to find one just the one my mother gave to me. As long time fan of wet shaving and having choice; this razor fits the bill.

I ordered the Fatboy and have been waiting for it now for 5 months. I ordered it in May and it was despatched in September by postal service despite my request to use a first class courier service (against additional payment of course). The request was confirmed but it was not followed up on. As a consequence I lost the money that I paid for the fatboy and as I never the razor. At first when I wanted to place the order I was very impressed with the speed of reply. It was on a Saturday and virtually immediately got a reply from the great Mr Matt himself. Once the order was placed replies and updates on the progress were scarce and despite emails that I sent in regards to "non receipt" of the razor, I never received a reply. I cant comment on the quality of the razor because I never received it, but because of this reason and the fact that I find the after sales follow up and replies miserable, I will never place any orders with this company and can't recommend them to anyone.
