Double Edge Safety Razor Sample Pack | Sensitive Skin

I recently switched to safety razor from disposable. Tired of only getting 2 shaves from a disposable. I found Razor Emporium from his Youtube videos. I have purchased the Sensitive Skin sample pack and the Beginners pack. The variety of different types of razor blades are amazing. I finished the Sensitive Skin pack and can honestly say all of the blades were fantastic. I can't wait to start using the Beginners pack. I will definitely be ordering more things from Razor Emporium.

Really appreciate this website putting together a sample pack like this, and backing it up with some of the most informative YouTube content on the internet. I’m still figuring out what work best for me, but this is a great help.

Gave up on wet shaving for a while but got tired of the irritation of electric razors only used the perma sharp red so far but it’s the best shave I’ve ever had no irritation at all

I got this on recommendation from talking to the owner after initially calling to explore a refurb on a 50s vintage gilette razor I'd picked up that wasn't doing well with the Derby blades I'd used for a long time with a different razor. After describing my beard (coarse, thick, heavy) and my face (chin cleft, deep crease where lip and nose meet) and the condition of the razor itself, he suggested I try this pack before refurb'ing the razor ("probably just your blades").

So far I've only tried the red box "personna", but the difference is night and day. A new derby blade pulls and nicks skin easily. After 2 shaves with personna I've had no nicks and clean shaves. Even if the rest are bad, the sampler was worth it to find these blades. Maybe some are even better?

I've recently given up my straight razor. Hands shake too much now. Blades in this set are sharp enough to use a gentle razor, Rockwell, and get a clean (BBS) shave with minimal irritation. So far, Feather is my favorite.

great idea love the blades

I'm getting about the same performance from the Astra Greens as the Perma-Sharps, however I'm getting more shaves out of the Perma-Sharps. All the blades are good, but it boils down to how many shaves I can get out of a blade. The nice thing about the 'packs' is that I'm trying blades that I never would have tried before.

This is a good selection of quality blades. Currently I’m liking Personna Lab Blue and Perma Sharp for my needs. Thanks!

This pack doesn’t have all wonders maybe but it just might have your unsung hero or diamond in the rough. How would you know otherwise! Thanks for making this available.

I was skeptical about how much difference each blade would make but each one was vastly different! Found the one that works with my face and no more irritation!

Get to try out and see what you like

I am new to DE shaving and started out with the green Astra blades and the first couple shaves left my face feeling really sensitive and uncomfortable. Then I switched to Feather blades which was a huge improvement. The first shave with a Feather blade feels slightly uncomfortable and then shaves 2-5 feel great and then the blade stops being comfortable.

With a Kai blade, shaves 1-4 are all comfortable and 5&6 as still pretty good before I need a new blade.

Great mix pack. I already had one of the blades, so Razor Emporium swapped it out for me. Wonderful service!

Been using Astra for years still have 100 or so blades yet. Need something tad sharper got this pack. The japense blades give a nice clean shave. Way better then the Astra for me. Need to test the others but I think the four shaves with the blue pack sealed the deal.

I think all of these work well for sensitive skin, but I had the best shaves with the Kai and Gillette Plat blades - both of these offer a combination of sharpness, smoothness, and shave-to-shave longevity / consistency.

I have not tried any of the blades from here yet, but I am looking forward to it!

love this one for my skin

As a long time RE customer I recently listened to one of the podcasts. I have steadfastly used either Shark or Feather blades, thinking I wanted the "sharpest" blades available. Oops ... Wrong! The first blade I used was the Astra Green (least aggressive). Using my 1955 Gillette Red Tip Heavy Super Speed (Favorite) razor I was stunned by the nick free, closest shave ... Ever! Slowly making my way through the pack and resetting my beliefs. :)

I'm always curious about blades. I've tried a few. I use Feather blades most of the time. The Astra blades are okay, pretty smooth, medium sharpness. Same with the Gillette, and the Persona. The Tapirs blades are packed really nice, but they don't perform very well. The Kai blades are garbage.

I bought this with the gillette vintage black tip super speed to try new blades to the razor half of them I know as use before I use personna and astra before and astra is always my favorite but personna is good but to me they are sometimes to me really good or gives me cuts on my face which does not mean a bad blade but it does give a smooth shave to me but get cuts from time to time. The Kai blades is about the same put only it on the razorock long injector like blades not as a DE blade but same as personna to me gives me a good shave but it cuts me not by bleeding but by small nicks. The others I have not try yet but I heard they are like pol silver or something the rapira and the other I don’t know but hope they work well. This sample is a good way to find out what type of skin you have I personally like the gillette platinum and feather, derby, Wilkinson sword and finally voskhod which is my favorite for the smoothest shave now. These are my favorite so far and there are other but these are my top 5 so far I wish some of these were in the sample pack because I do have a little sensitive skin but I have thick hair that grows really quickly but let’s me try different blades so try this if you have sensitive skin or just starting to shaving with a safety razor but use a good shaving cream or soap to get the best experience as possible.

The only complaint about this bundle is the lack of perma-sharp in the sample. (image is miss leading!)

This is a great way to get started and try a number of different blades, especially if you're struggling with irritation or cuts from other blades. Having a full tuck of each will really allow you to get to know each blade over repeated use to get your perfect option dialed in.

My package was super simple to order and was delivered in a timely manner. I have used 2 of the blades so far and, very true, they are sharp and good for my skin. I really like that I am not stuck with blades as I can switch at any time to find one that's right for me!

This pack is a great way to find out what blade suits you best. I always thought a sharper blade was what a needed, but the most mild blade suited me best. Customer service was helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

Blades seem to be working quite well.

I am still working my way through the blades but love the ones I have tried. I don't know if it is my technique, my blades or a combination of the two that cause my irritation but it has greatly reduced since changing blades. I especially like the time taken to not only offer different blades but to tailor the packs to different needs. As much as I would like to settle on one blade, the variety of options is too great to ignore. Will definitely be purchasing again. Love Razor Emporium

I have enjoyed trying out these different blades. I have used Feather blades for over the past two years and have recently started to see too many nicks on my sensitive face. This is a great way to try out different blades based on skin type. I have tried them all and have not had any nicks so far.
