Astra Superior Stainless (Blue) Double Edge (DE) Blades

I never tried Astra blue before and these definitely aren't for my skin. It left my face feeling irritated cause I have sensitive skin.

These blades are super sharp and super smooth for me. I'm using the blades that were produced in India. They feel sharper than the ones that were produced in Russia.

I'm a big fan of Perma-Sharp blades, but after the Astra Superior Stainless, I'll be switching. The Astra's provide a BBS one pass shave for me.

If you haven't tried the Astra's in a while, I'd say giv e them a try.

These are amazing. They say this brand is good for sensitive skin. Let me tell you something. It does speak for it self. Used it on Henson. I will be restocking on these soon.

The first shave with these was brutal as they tugged and pulled hair. The second shave was much smoother. Both times these blades didn’t cut hair short enough despite doing multiple passes.

I just bought a 1960 Gillette FATBOY Adjustable Vintage Safety Razor Date Code F1 and decided to release it with the popular Astra Superior Stainless (Blue) Double Edge (DE) Blades, the result was excellent. A perfect shave without any cut of the skin. This blade adapts very well to my sensitive skin. If I do not find another competitive brand that surpasses it, I would definitely continue using them.

Used these in my Parker Variant Adjustable razor and they were amazing. Possibly the best shave I have had in a long time. These will be in my permanent rotation.

For fairly sensitive skin, give these blades a try. It’s amazing how different blades gives different shaves. I have tried about a dozen different blades since last June trying to find the right ones for my face - something not too sharp and not too dull - the Astra blues are great. They have given me 4 shaves on one blade very effectively and hold up to pre-shaves and heavy creams. They don’t rough up your neck line and gives an all around smooth close shave every time.

These blades are on the sharp side. For now, I will put these to the side until I am better able to shave better.

Cannot deny the popularity of the Astra Green line & I’m a big fan already. I’ve been through one tuck of the SS blue and would not rank these as high the greens. Just a tad “bitey” on more than two days’ growth. Left a tad irritation on MJ neck that the greens never do. Half the fun is the test drive. After ordering the "sensitive pack" last time that included several kinds of double edge razors, I narrowed the field down to the Personna, Gillette Silver and the Astra Superior. All give a great shave for my sensitive skin.

Maybe someday I will narrow down to one...but why when I can purchase a variety of my favorites!
