1980's Gillette British Armed Forces Falkland War Spiral Tech DE Safety Razor Made in U.K.

I recently purchased this razor along with a replica WWI Canvas Case from Razor Emporium and intend to make it my travel razor. It shaves really well and actually exceeded my expectations. There is no blade overhang on the sides and the handle knurling is quite good...no slipping. Overall it is pretty mild and produces a great three pass shave without irritation. I agree with another writer that when I use it it feels like I am shaving with a piece of history. As an old lawyer and retired soldier, I remember clearly what IU was doing when the Falklands War occurred. It is a good feeling and will be an honor to explain this to my grandson someday. I had to write a review of this piece of history I bought this to remind me of my British army days they had just phased them out not too long after I left my training depot wish I had kept it.
This razor gives me a better and smoother shave than my Viking chieftain junior and would go as far as to say better shave than a cartridge razor too.

I ordered this razor on a whim and was not expecting much based on the stock photo and price. I ended up getting a razor that looked much better than the stock photo, feels better built than modern DE razor, and cuts far better than a modern razor (e.g. Merkur 38c). I would not hesitate to make this purchase as you will not regret it.

Great. A shaving piece of history for $19. I find the shave similar to a 23C or DE89.

Got this razor as apart of the kit. It is small and very light weight. IMO this razor is more aggressive then others and surprisingly performs great. Always had heavier razors, but this performed on par, if not better then more expensive brands. Great addition to my travel kit and find myself reaching for it as a daily shaver.

I just love the razor. I will always take the opportunity to add a piece of Gillette history to my collection. I shined it up as soon as I could. I was able to pick up the razor myself from the new Razor Emporium location. I was treated very kindly. While I was there I had a few questions answered about replating of some of my razors in my collection.

Good razor overall. Not quite foolproof, but almost so.

Threw it in my glove-box for short trips. Very handy with cool background story. Price is ok.

I bought one of these for collecting. I couldn’t help myself and I used it. What a great little razor. The handle is nothing special but the head works fantastic.

Its operation is so light and smooth that you will think that you have not loaded the blade in the razor

This is a wonderful addition to my safety razor collection. I was a bit surprised by how light it is, but that does not affect the quality of the shave at all. The razor was in perfect condition and is very easy to clean and care for. I'm very glad I bought it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my British Falkland War Tech. The razor I received looks significantly better than the one depicted, and it has given me a whole new appreciation for Tech razors. I have always loved the handle pattern on these razors, and the super low price left me no excuse not to pull the trigger.
