15" Latigo Beginner / Travel Strop

I didn't want to to spend the money on a fancy strop since I figured I would bang up the first one since I don't know what I'm doing yet. This strop is great for the price and allows me to learn without worry. I'm so glad this product exists.

I bought this as a travel strop as I have a 3" and another 3"made by me. If I think I will have the time for a sr my travel choice is a Dovo Barbarossa which fits this stop. (no x strokes) The strop is well made and works fine. Small enough that it doesn't need to be rolled but long enough to use. could be placed on a counter and used as a paddle.

I ordered this item. But, it never came! I emailed them, even left messages on the customer service. Still waiting for this item!

I was surprised to see how small it is. After my initial surprise, I find it fits perfectly in the space I have. I haven’t used it yet. My straight razor came ready to shave. Having watched the educational videos, I am confident I will be fine. As soon as I get some experience, I will write another review. So far I am very happy with everything I have purchased from razor emporium.. The customer service, packaging, and products have been 1st class!

It's a good strop to practice on before buying an expensive one.

I thought I was already familiar with stropping. Stropping a razor is different. The dozen nicks I've put in this beginner strop prove there's a specialized learning curve for razor stropping. Get this one first, or in addition to, a nicer one.

This strop was purchased two years ago as part of a beginner straight razor kit that I put together for my husband for Christmas. It gave him the ability to learn without the fear of damaging a more expensive strop, and now that he uses a full-size strop I expect him to keep this one as a back-up.

I never received this product after paying for it. I have tried emailing customer services multiple times without any response. :(

Strop is as described and used in his video, regarding the use of strops. The strop is very useful for training for new users, before they make a more significant purchase. However it size and material does make it a nice travel strop.

This thing is very high quality. Its inexpensive but not cheap. Works great and a just have for beginner straight shavers!

I purchased this stroke to learn the basics of stropping my straight razor and it serves it's purpose very well. Quality is very good!

OK; I have to admit that I wish I would have just splurged on the full size strop. Does this small one work? Heck yes. It will do the job. I just want to be able to strop without having to cross strop making sure that I get the full blade in one sweep/stroke. My fear is that if I don't cross sweep well enough then I will not get an even alignment.
I will be upgrading to the full size when money is in hand.
I love the fact that these are made right in the shop in Phoenix.

Perfect size for travel and amazingly high quality for the price.

A good way to practicie your stroping technique and to use for travel

This was my first strop. It is exactly what I needed to get started and learn the art of stropping. Great quality and easy to use!
