What We Do

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. Starting at $29, we offer a professional restoration that helps bring your old-school razor back to its glory days.

How it Works

We first clean your razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible.

Next we carefully polish the inside and out of your razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster.

Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of your razor.

We carry out any painting that is needed - numbers on adjusters, tips on super speeds and black handles. We use color-matched powder coating that exactly replicates the original factory colors and process.

Razors are again cleaned and sanitized before being lubricated and mailed back home. We include a free Polishing Cloth that will safely keep the shine on your vintage find!

Fatboy tune up

I’m glad to have sent the 1960 Fatboy in for a tuneup, looks shiny and new, and works great. I did one shave with it, cleaned it up real good and shined it up again. It’s now it’s proudly on display in my Man Cave. Nice job Razor Emporium. At the same time they also tuned up a Black Beauty. Once again it was a wonderful job, but this one is now in rotation with several other adjustables, looking and working great. I’m very pleased

Tune up

When I sent in my Dad's old Gillette Spiral tech which was over 60 yers old , corroded, pitted and missing the guard. (I think my dad had used it without the guard). I didn’t expect any miracles, given the razors condition. The top which was made from zinc and was badly corroded and pitted in poor condition, so I also ordered a guard and another top to be able to use it as a complete razor. Unfortunately the threads on the top were too far corroded to be able to withstand restoration and the handle couldn't be threaded when adding the guard . Matt kindly added a handle at no charge, so that I could have and least use a complete Gillette Spiral tech, as it was intended. My original spiral tech handle was restored very nicely, as was the old original top to a shiny lustre finish. I was amazed that when I added a blade to the old but now shiny top without the guard, the handle was still able to catch on the last few usable threads enough to tighten the blade securely in place. I almost jumped with joy, as I was now able to use my dad’s old re-tuned spiral tech that was looking great and shiny, but without a guard, as he had used it. Without a doubt, there’s lots of blade feel, but taking it slow and easy, just like my dad used to shave, it still gave a truly great shave with no cuts. No words can truly describe my first shave using it. Thanks to the Razor Emporium team for your fine work and thank you Matt for understanding the value of my dad’s old razor to me and for adding another handle, so I could have a complete Gillette spiral tech that still shaves so smoothly.

Super speeder flare tip tune up

I recently received back my 1954 flare tip and it looks amazing. It functions as new and shaves beautifully.

Tune up Gillette Super Adjustable

Razor Emporium did a great job tuning my old Super Adjustable up - almost looks like new! Would be a five - star rating, but they forgot sending me the cloth for brightening... But anyway: I`m happy! Razor Emporium worked well and quickly; they informed me about every step of the tune - up. Very good and recommandable - thumbs up!
