Ok. I've got about a hundred razors and I didn't need this Razor. Just looking at it you'd think DE89 or R89. No. It's not. Very smooth but very efficient. Not the most aggressive but it depends on your face as any razor does. I popped a wizamet in first. Good choice. Ultra smooth. Ultra clean shave. I then tried the REX Blade. Same effect. Then an Astra. Very Smooth but not quite as efficient. It likes sharp blades. So I took the next step and tried a feather. It had a little more blade feel but the shave was amazing. All in all I'm staying with the Wizamet and Rex Blades until I run out. I'm not necessarily into mild razors but I do like smooth and effective. This is almost the Goldilocks for my shave. I still use my normal rotation on my daily shaves but this one is now in the mix. One of my top 15. Great choice and Cheap! My favorite part.

Great texture on the handle is nonslip when wet. The weight feels great in the hands. The screw between the baseplate and handle is quite rough and not smooth as one would like. Also personal preference but only comes in black. I like the features so I bought regardless of the color difference

I received the razor in a timely fashion. I installed a yellow label Feather blade and shaved with it. A very smooth shave with a light touch. It is a beautiful razor and looks good on display with my other razors. It is as good as my Rex Envoy stainless steel razor. I highly recommend it, and Razor Emporium provides excellent service.

So I am very new to using a safety razor. I’ve got 4 now, including this one. Got my feet wet with the King C Gillette, then tried the Henson AL13 with the medium plate, then tried this one. My 4th (and as of yet, unused) razor is the old faithful DE89. I absolutely love the shave I had with the SR-71! It is a quite hefty razor, which feels nice in the hand. For me, the shorter handle length is perfect! Did not feel too mild, or aggressive against my face. I used it with an Astra blade. I’ll be trying different blades in all of my razors, to see which combination I enjoy best. I would definitely recommend this razor! Thanks, Razor Emporium!!!
