I tried the Chubby 2 (CH2) in Super and the CH3 in best badger is softer! The increased softness is due to the reduced backbone of the CH3 and possibly a different batch of hair. The CH3 is a big brush, feels like a pillow across the face, and produces beautiful, low-bubble lathers; however, the CH3 is a lather hog. My tip for getting the lather stuck in the hairs is to squeeze the hairs from between your index and middle fingers from the base of the knot about 3/4 of the way up before applying the brush to your face so less lather is lost.

Velvety feel. Only a hint of backbone. Soft, luxurious and pampering. I feel relaxed the minute it glides down my cheek... And Matt's pricing seems to be the best I've seen.

The density of the hair is incredible, it is soft yet has great back bone, very pleased, would purchase again!
