Now available is the Konsul DeLuxe, a high mirror finish with either 24K Gold Plating or Rhodium plating performed by the same team of our popular Razor Revamp service. Our gold plating is hard acid gold which allows for good wear and brightness. We plate exclusively in 24 Karat, the purist form of the element Au (Gold) at 99.9%. It has the highest luster of that deep and rich yellow color. Cleaning of the razor would be similar to any gold jewelry; best carried out by a professional or specialized Gold cleaning products. Rhodium is a metal in the platinum family. It is a bright white shine that will not tarnish like silver. It rates high on the Moh's scale of hardness and is brilliantly shiny.

This product was developed by wet shaving enthusiasts to deliver a fully customizable shaving experience. A slant razor is a highly efficient tool that removes coarse stubble effortlessly and does not irritate sensitive skin. Inspired by the French guillotine, and perfected by the Germans, a slant razor is the perfect solution for shavers suffering from coarse beards and sensitive skin because of the slicing motion. We wanted to pay tribute to our slant's roots in German shaving history, but wanted to express it is equal to the ranking of 'Ambassador' and the name Konsul was chosen.

Amazing !

I have few well known DE razors in my collection , and the Konsul Slant come on top of all of them . Best razor experience yet. Smooth , and efficient.

One of the best shaves

This really has given me one of the best shaves ever. I tend to go longer between shaves over the winter so I do have slightly more growth. But despite that caveat, this is a fantastic razor. I get a super comfortable, super close shaves. No minor nicks. No burn with the alum, even after going on weird angles to get a BBS shave all over. 10/10 razor. My only quibble is that loading the razor is slightly messy. The blade doesn't quite fit on the guides so you have to be careful when slotting the cap back into the razor that the blade doesn't slide. Other than that, a perfect razor.

Wow

I decided to upgrade from my Henson AL-13 ++. Wow, I am impressed. This is a beautiful piece! Shaving with this razor is entirely a different experience & admittedly I used the same technique I'd used with the Henson. I shave my head & most of my face. The first shave was bloodier than I hoped. The heavier, much more efficient razor, will do the work on its own. Applying too much pressure will show in the results. I used to do a single pass against the grain, daily with the more forgiving Henson Razor. After a few more shaves with the Konsul, I now shave in two passes, once with the grain & once against every day & a half. The Konsul is capable of so much closer of a shave. I could shave everyday if I dialed the razor down to lesser blade exposure, but really enjoy the flawless BBS it's capable of! I'll keep my Henson for the days when I need a super quick shave or have had a bit too much sun on the head. While they are both excellent razors, they are two very different experiences. I'm so happy I got the Konsul!

Rex Konsul

The Rex Konsul is the best razor for my thick beard and sensitive skin that I have in my collection. I get a comfortable close shave in two passes versus three passes from most other razors. Pair the Konsul with a Feather, Perma-Sharp, or Polsilver and it is magic. My current rotation consists of the Konsul, Smart Helix Apollo Light, Henson Ti22, and the Oneblade Genesis & Hybrid. It is going to be hard to beat this razor as my number one.
