REX Ambassador

Outstanding build quality and shave performance! The Ambassador goes from mild to moderately aggressive in regards to blade feel and provides a wonderfully efficient shave. Although this razor does exhibit blade feel, it's nothing intimidating IMO. Any experienced wet shaver should have no problem with this razor. If your a greenhorn, simply start out using it on a low setting. I've used it for both face and head shaves on setting 6 with no issues. Take your time, focus and allow the weight of the razor to do the work. The grip is second to none... even with a wet soapy hand. This is a razor that can be handed down for generations to come. Yes, it's expensive. But the cost is well justified. My only regret... that I didn't purchase one sooner.

Rex Ambassador Has Exceeded Expectations

I've been a DE shaver since 2016 and have tried a dozen different razors with mixed results. The Merkur 34C is certainly a very good choice and I thought I'd found my forever razor with the excellent Rockwell 6S—in fact, the 6S was so good that I never expected anything to take its place at the top of my razor rotation. Enter the Rex Ambassador. Like anyone, I was kind of nervous after ordering the Ambassador; there was no way to really know if my face would like it as much as all those positive YouTube reviewers did. So, it was with a certain anxious anticipation that I applied the Ambassador to my face for the first time. It was pretty dang good. Even better the second time. Perfection on the third shave. I don't think the Ambassador is necessarily a good choice for a beginner. It's not so much aggressive as it requires a solid command of the subtleties of DE shaving to avoid the perception of aggression. I don't do well with aggressive razors and the Ambassador is about as perfect for my face as I could hope for. People throw the phrase BBS around a lot but the Ambassador shave is the real deal. I could not be more pleased with this razor. I never thought anything would unseat the Rockwell 6S as my daily driver but there is a new Alpha Razor in the shave den.

Probably the last razor I’ll ever buy

The Rex has been amazing in the half year I’ve owned it so far. Once I got the hang of shaving with it it’s given me the best shaves I’ve ever had. Hardly any Ingrowns or irritation and the adjustment setting work perfectly with my face and the feather razors I use. You honestly cannot go wrong with this razor if you need an aggressive yet mild shave in different spots
