Well, been back into wet shaving for over a year now. I was doing the electric razor for a several years, but finally decided a fast electric shave does not equal a BBS, darn fine shave, or a good shave. So of course I have tried a fairly large number of blades. Feathers (in my rotation), KAI (not in the rotation), Wilkerson Classic Sword (my old favorite from years gone bye but cant crack into my rotation now lol), Astra Green (very good and in my rotation) and Blue (even better), Persona Reds (actually blue now they are made in Germany), lots and lots of Gillettes, Derby Extra (darn fine blade) and what had become my the excellent Gillette Silver Blue which I had believed was the perfect blend of sharpness and comfort. Then I finally tried these Personna Lab Blues and ............ wow! I believe all the different blades i have tried and continue to try allowed me to truly appreciate what a wonderfully well balanced blade this is. My go to razor is a Rex Envoy which is a bit more aggressive than my vintage Gillette Super Speed trio or the setting (3) I use on my Slim Adjustable (1966) and Short and Long Super Speeds. So with the Envoy being a little more aggressive, my blade rotation changed a bit with the Gillette Silver Blue risin to the top, but now, well it is still excellent but the Personal Lab Blues are even better yet in my Envoy. I typically do 1 and a half lathers/passes when wet shaving with a good blade and these Lab Blues do a great job, they very best job in fact. Very highly recommend you should give this one a try as while your mileage may vary, it is worth it to find out if this is as well balanced between sharp and smooth as it is for me.
