This was my first extended use safety razor. I bought it 2 years ago to get into DE shaving and save money on blades. Since then I’ve used four others I inherited, so can now make a comparison. This is by far the most aggressive of the lot. I can only use it about 3 days in a row without wearing out my skin and starting to experience lots of nicks and skids. I have a Gillette adjustable slim and it’s the equivalent of the 9 setting or slightly more. Having said that, this razor definitely gives the closest shave of all my other razors, and is the razor of choice if I have several days growth. It never clogs up and clears soap and hair quickly and easily, and gives the closet shave especially around the chin. In summary, I would definitely recommend it for anyone with a heavy beard, or who only wants to shave a few times a week and wants an extremely close shave.

I am new to wet shaving. I did a lot of research prior to buying this razor. This seemed like a good deal for the price. This razor is great. I like the weight to it and the long handle. I definitely recommend this razor. Watch the video's on the website.

Thought I'd try it for a slightly longer handle than my excellent Edwin Jagger razor. The Parker is very well made but the shave was brutal, getting cut multiple times . After three tries, I bought another Edwin Jagger. Great shave, no cuts
