1st- This Brush is Huge!!!
That is not a bad thing at all.
It Looks Pretty Great in My Humble Shave Den.
2nd - I figured it would be very stiff and scratchy (I raised Pigs among the many animals on our family's ranch while I was growing up and their 'hair' was stiff and kind of scratchy feeling) BUT the bristles on this brush are NOT like that at all.
It is a very soft brush and feels very nice on the neck and face.
3rd - I have heard that there is 'break-in' period that is necessary with this type of brush where the bristles will eventually curl and split over time making it feel softer and aiding with grabbing & lifting neck & facial hair.
I found that mine seemed to start curling after the 1st shave and then started to split within the next couple of shaves.
It is already very soft and I can't wait to see how much more soft it will get with time.
4th - The Smell!!!
OK, there is a smell to a Boar Bristle Brush which I was not prepared for (having only used a Badger Hair Brush prior to this) and at 1st it was a bit unsettling but it has grown on me with time to the point that I actually like the way it smells now.
5th - There has been virtually no shedding at all!!!
It seems to be very well made.
So, i can easily say that I Highly recommend this Brush.
It is a wonderful addition to my humble shave den and it is very affordable.
