Not as thick of ceramic as my Van Der Hagen shave mug which I dropped from 4ft onto tile after I slipped and the mug survived without a crack or nick, but shave mugs don't get dropped often. Tip: for loading a shave soap puck, add sticks of hot glue to the bottom and microwave until the glue is melted about an inch or two from the bottom of the mug. When the shave soap puck wears, we now won't have to struggle to build a lather in the confines of the neck of the mug.
