Great lather, smell, and shave!

I really like the Essence of Scotland Mountain Yew shaving soap. With a fully wet brush (dripping), it creates a light, fluffy lather that stays around (doesn't turn to liquid or disintegrate before you get to all of it). With a wet (but not dripping) brush, it creates a thick, sticky lather, which also stays around the whole shave. In either case, it helps the blade glide smoothly, and smells great! The only thing I'd like is if it came without the container, so I could use it immediately in my nice soap dish.

The lather is good, but the smell is great

To be honest, I didn't have very high expectations for this soap, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that for me, the lather was about as good as TOBS, but the smell is just awesome. Based mostly on the scent, I think this is my new favorite soap and I recommend giving it a go. I enjoy the earthy, pine notes.
