I got these to use with my new DE89. My only other experience was with Wilkinson Sword blades. I started in order and simply hated the Lord blades. I ended up not using all of them. They pulled and were rough compared to the Swords. The Astra Blue was very nice. A decent shave with a small amount of tug. I did manage to cut myself with them a few times and they were the worst nicks I have ever had while shaving. Overall, not bad. The Dorcos are awful. Perhaps I had a bad batch but they were not even, some areas sharp, some dull. They tugged. They were very rough - so rough, I only used three before I could not take any more and finished up a shave with the Lords that I really do not like. They made those seem good. Then, Astra Green. Wow! I really love them. Smooth, with no pull, no nick, no cuts. They are best on my neck of any blade I have ever used. No razor burn yet close. I am only on my fourth shave with them but really enjoy them and will likely order a quantity of them. I have not tried the Feathers and they may wait for another day. I want to be sure my technique is solid before going tackling them. In short, the sampler is the way to go. If DE shaving was like some of these blades, I would get the Mach 3 back out. The Blues did not knock me out. But the Greens made me appreciate what everyone says about DE shaving.
