We are excited to announce that Razor Emporium has officially acquired Yates Precision Manufacturing, including the rights to its name, designs, tooling, website, and social media platforms. This marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to support and preserve the artistry of wet shaving.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship

Founded in 2019 by Jake Yates, Yates Precision Manufacturing quickly earned a reputation for precision machining stainless steel, brass, and titanium razors, crafted with care in Pennsylvania. With a deep appreciation for American manufacturing and innovation, Yates Precision developed a loyal following for its thoughtfully engineered designs and commitment to quality.

At Razor Emporium, we have spent over a decade restoring, preserving, and celebrating the history of classic shaving. Since our founding in 2009, we have been dedicated to reviving vintage razors, documenting the rich history of brands like Gillette, and helping customers experience the best in traditional wet shaving. Our passion for storytelling, preservation, and craftsmanship makes us uniquely suited to be the next steward of the Yates Precision legacy.

What This Means for Customers

We want to assure all Yates Precision customers that Jake will personally complete all outstanding orders from his existing shop, where most of the original machinery remains. In 2024, we purchased a CNC machine from Yates to begin aluminum production for Rex Supply Co. We were honored to have Jake in Phoenix, AZ to undertake set-up of this machine. Razor Emporium will not be accepting new orders or beginning production until all previous customer orders have been fulfilled by Jake. 

As we take the reins, we remain committed to honoring the principles that made Yates Precision a respected name in the wet shaving community and continuing the Merica, Winning, and 921 models. We will honor the lifetime warranty from all existing models. We look forward to preserving and growing the brand with the same passion we bring to restoring vintage razors and sharing the rich history of wet shaving.
