A beautiful razor from the 1900's Ball End Old Type Gillette. This is a cool collectible peice coming from England. This razor is made with an aluminum handle and aluminum guard. The cap is brass. Made for almost two decades, these razors are durable, beautiful, and aggressive shavers. This razpr features a closed comb guard and balanced ball-end handle.

Vintage safety razors pack some of the most bang for the buck, but knowing if they are fully functional, hygienic and shave-ready is a different story. This razor has gone through our complete tune up process. We first clean the razor in our industrial ultrasonic machine to remove any soap scum, mineral deposits and grime. Disassembly is carried out for the best results whenever possible. Next we carefully polish the inside and out of the razor, bringing the vintage metal up to a high luster. Mechanical adjustments are made to ensure the best functionality of the razor.

History: The Gillette Old Type was the original razor head produced by Gillette Safety Razor Co. It featues open comb design with two stabilizer pins that keep the blade straight. These heads are known for their smooth yet aggressive shaves. These were the same model as featured in the WWI Khaki sets.
